We are seeking three enthusiastic interns to join our summer internship program.



Interns will assist program coordinator with day-to-day operations, help facilitate summer events, help us move and set up our new location and assist in marketing tasks. Interns are expected to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers while completing daily tasks and maintain our culture of dignity, honor and respect in all relationships especially when working with foster families.


  • Reports to intern coordinator

  • FLSA STATUS: Part-time Non-Exempt

  • Salary: $12.50/hr, paid through SummerWorks PDX, not to exceed 180 hours

  • Location: With Love warehouse in Tigard, near Bridgeport and occasional off-site hours

  • Duration: June 12 - August 16

  • Schedule: Varies for on boarding June 12 - June 14.  June 17- Mid August Wednesday - Friday 9am - 3:30 including occasional weekends and evenings.

  • Interns are required to attend 10 hours of unpaid work readiness training with SummerWorks prior to starting internship. Interns must meet eligibility requirements for SummerWorks and be between the ages of 16-24. For more information about Summer Works, please visit:

  • Positive “Customer Service” with volunteers, employees, foster families, and kids in foster care.

  • Warehouse help

  • Event Planning

    • Help plan and run With Love Event Days: Movie & Ice Cream, Black Hair Care training event, Children’s gym day, Bridgeport Village Wednesdays in August (if we are chosen,) Zoo event.

      • Research and gather list of potential sponsors/in-kind donors

      • Content design for events such as fliers and invitations

      • Event guest management (RSVP’s, etc.)

      • Support in planning events

      • Day of event logistics and coordinating

      • Event follow up logistics

  • Volunteer appreciation

  • Social Media scheduling through Zoho Social

  • Interview volunteers and staff for social media/newsletter stories to front load content

  • Marketing and Donor Outreach email and phone communication to individuals and organizations in the Portland area
